Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 27, 2026
BayDocket ("we", "us") is a product of Black Cat Software LLC. This policy describes what information we collect and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Waitlist: the email address you submit on this site, plus basic request metadata (IP address, browser user agent) used for abuse prevention.
- BayDocket application: account information for repair shop staff (name, email, role) and business records shops enter about their own operations, including their customers' names, phone numbers, email addresses, vehicles, and repair orders. Shops control that data; we process it on their behalf.
How we use information
- To operate the BayDocket service — including sending appointment, estimate-approval, and service-update text messages that repair shops initiate to their customers.
- To contact you about the waitlist and product availability.
- To secure, maintain, and improve the service.
Phone numbers and SMS consent
Phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent are never shared with or sold to third parties for marketing purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, excluding the messaging carriers and providers required to deliver the messages. Customers can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP.
Data sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share data only with the infrastructure providers required to run the service (hosting, database, object storage, messaging delivery), each bound to process it solely on our instructions.
Data retention and deletion
Waitlist emails are kept until launch outreach completes or you ask us to remove yours. Application data is retained while a shop's account is active. Contact us to request deletion.
