Take appointment requests while the shop is closed

One link, one QR code — customers request a time from their phone, day or night. Nothing hits your calendar until you say Accept.

Requests wait in one list until an advisor accepts or dismisses them (demo-shop data).

After hours

The call you missed at 9 PM doesn't have to become a lost car

Most shops answer the phone during the day and nothing after. A driver who needs an oil change on a Sunday afternoon either waits until Monday to call — or calls the shop down the street that has a "book online" button. BayDocket gives your shop that same after-hours front door without hiring anyone to staff it.

Turn it on in Settings and you get a link and a QR code for your own shop. Put it on your website if you have one, in your Google Business profile, on a window decal, or on the sticker you already hand out for the next oil change. The customer opens it on their phone, no app to download and no account to create — just their name, phone, vehicle, what's wrong, and a day and time that works for them.

Request, not reservation

You confirm every request — nothing books itself

A public form that writes straight onto your calendar is how a shop that deliberately double-books gets a stranger's guess wedged into a bay that's already spoken for. BayDocket doesn't do that. Every submission lands in a "Booking requests" list on the Schedule page — a name, phone, vehicle, concern, and the time they'd like — and stays there until an advisor looks at it.

Accept opens the same booking window you already know, prefilled with what the customer asked for. Adjust the time if you need to, pick a tech, and it becomes a real appointment on the board — matched to an existing customer by phone number, or filed as a new one. Dismiss if it's spam or a day you're already full. Either way, your calendar only ever holds what your shop put there.

Your number, your call

A lead, not an auto-reply

BayDocket doesn't text the customer back to confirm the request — that part is still a phone call or a text from a person at the shop, same as it is today. A request is closer to a note left on your desk than a robot answering your phone: it tells you who called, what they drove, and when they'd like to come in, without anyone having to be there to pick up.

It's part of the one BayDocket subscription, same as scheduling, texting, and everything else — no separate booking-widget fee, no per-request cost.

Frequently asked questions

Does the customer pick a live time slot?

No. The customer states a preferred date and time, and the shop confirms it. BayDocket doesn't model bay capacity, so showing a real-time calendar to a stranger would either lie about how busy you are or leak the whole board. A short list of requests you glance at once or twice a day is simpler and just as fast to act on.

What happens after someone submits a request?

It lands in a "Booking requests" list on your Schedule page — never straight on the calendar. An advisor opens it, picks the actual date and time (usually the one requested), and Accept turns it into a real appointment. Dismiss just clears it. Nothing touches your customer list or your board until someone on staff says so.

Does BayDocket text the customer a confirmation?

Not yet — v1 sends no text. A request is a lead, not a booking: the shop calls or texts the customer back to confirm the time, the same way a phone call comes in today. Two-way texting is already part of the product for everything after that call.

Do I need a website to use this?

No. Enable the link in Settings and you get a URL and a QR code — print the QR code on a business card, a window decal, or a service reminder sticker, or drop the link in your Google Business profile or Facebook page. It's a page BayDocket hosts, not a website you have to build.

Is online booking an extra charge?

No. Like everything else, it comes with the one BayDocket subscription — no add-on, no higher tier.
